His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, today, Monday, 30/2/1444 AH, sponsored the ceremony of Qassim University on the occasion of the 92nd National Day, which was held in the main lobby of the University City, in the presence of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, Dr. Mohammed Al-Saawi, Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Sharekh, Vice President for Planning, Development and Quality, Prof. Khaled Al-Harbi and a number of university council members, employees and students.

HH The Amir opened the exhibition accompanying the ceremony, which contains a number of introductory corners, including a corner on the first Saudi state, the second Saudi state, the third Saudi state, the Kingdom's Vision 2030, a sustainable Saudi vision, the Green Saudi initiative, the Green Riyadh project, the Green Middle East initiative, a corner on The Line, Oxagon and Trujina, the Human Capacity Development Program, a corner on the Kingdom achieving the third place in the world and the first in the Arab world in providing humanitarian aid, and a corner on the care, care and development of the Two Holy Mosques since the era of King Abdulaziz, in addition to the Al-Ahram project.

After visiting the exhibition, His Highness launched the initiative of the Deanship of Student Affairs, which includes a number of programs and events to strengthen national identity, deepen the values of loyalty and national belonging, highlight the religious status of the homeland and its high status as the Qiblah of Muslims and the beating heart of the Islamic world, as well as promoting the rejection of sympathy for those who are prejudiced against the homeland, fighting misguided ideas and everything that reflects negatively on the homeland and citizens, in addition to promoting the value of volunteering to serve the homeland and activating it in the field; to form a vibrant and more effective community, and to promote the spirit of defending the homeland through various media outlets and counter negative attacks towards the UAE's citizens.

In his speech during the ceremony, the UQU President emphasized that the anniversary of our 92nd National Day comes to us to remember those glories, heroism and sacrifices, and renew the spirit of loyalty and belonging, and materialize a new year added to the record of our kingdom full of achievements, goodness and peace. He pointed out that we are recalling the founding of this great entity, recalling the sacrifices of the founding king Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, who fought a historical epic to rebuild a country with an independent political entity on which the flag of unification flies in permanent security and stability.

Al-Dawood explained that the era of establishment was soon followed by the stage of development and reconstruction, which was completed by the sons of the founder after him; Kings Saud, Faisal, Khalid, Fahd and Abdullah, may God have mercy on them all, and here the state proudly continues the march in this prosperous era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz with the support of his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect them both.Believing in the importance of preserving the gains and contributing to development and progress according to a comprehensive development project that aims to keep pace with global developments and enhance the Kingdom's position in the scientific, civilizational, economic and political fields, which is reflected in our ambitious Vision 2030.

Al-Dawood said: Despite all the political and health changes and economic fluctuations that affected a number of countries in the world, our Kingdom, thanks to the grace of God, and then the wisdom and management of our wise leadership, has withstood and moved at a steady and balanced pace that avoided slipping into the dangers from which the major countries were not spared.

Addressing the students, the university president added: "It is your duty towards this dear country to preserve its security and gains: It is your duty towards this dear homeland to preserve its security and gains, to firmly and forcefully confront all those who intend to tamper with it intellectually and security, to be loyal to it and contribute to its upliftment, as you are the basis of construction and development, so be one hand with your wise leadership and chart your future in the shadow of an ambitious and promising homeland. You will be able to do so only through hard work and diligence in your scientific and research career, praying to God Almighty to preserve our wise leadership, maintain our country's security and stability, preserve our borders, protect our borders, triumph our soldiers, heal our wounded, and have mercy on our martyrs.

The ceremony included a number of paragraphs and student participations that started with the playing of the royal peace, recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, a national poem, a student march, a visual presentation on the university's achievements during a year, a national operetta, and then His Highness, the university president and a number of students participated in the Saudi Arabian show.

During the ceremony, His Highness also inaugurated the university's program to activate the campaign of His Highness the Emir of the region to enhance intellectual security, which is supervised by the Intellectual Awareness Unit at the university, and includes a number of foundational courses for intellectual fortification, targeting university employees, government departments, and the community, which lasts for 7 months, as intellectual specialization courses have been built, which are among the most important targets of intellectual fortification for the recipient.

At the end of the ceremony, the university honored 23 of its officials whose terms of office ended during the period from September 2021 to September 2022, from the hands of His Highness the Emir of the region.
