His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, visited today, Thursday, 10/6/1443 AH, the Qassim University pavilion at the Buraydah Spring Festival, which is supervised by the Deanship of Community Service, and in which a number of university colleges participate to provide community, health and awareness services to the visitors of the festival, where his Highness extended thanks and appreciation to the university for the efforts made by its employees to serve the community.
During his visit, HH the Emir of Qassim toured the university's pavilion, which was set up to activate his initiative "I am a Saudi who cherishes my identity" with its three tracks (Homeland Language, Homeland Heritage, and Homeland Values). HH the Emir was also briefed on the exhibition of the founding King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, which contains about 30 paintings that tell about his origins, achievements and the stages of the establishment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, may God rest his soul.
His Highness the Emir listened to an explanation from the Dean of the Deanship, Prof. Fahd bin Ibrahim Al-Daleh, about the university's activities and activities at the festival, which includes several corners, including the Oral and Dental Health Corner, where the College of Dentistry offers medical examinations and consultations and educates visitors about the importance of maintaining oral and dental health.
The College of Applied Medical Sciences also participates in the health corner of the festival in providing vision screening services to visitors through the Optometry Department, as well as providing biometrics, sugar, osteoporosis and body mass through the Medical Laboratories Department, in addition to the participation of the University Medical City in providing medical consultations and primary examinations, and the Department of Food Sciences and Human Nutrition at the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine with awareness activities for visitors, and the Physical Education Department from the College of Education.
His Highness was briefed on the corner of productive families, crafts and handicrafts, which is held within the "Heritage of Watan" track and received a large turnout of visitors, in addition to the "Language of Watan" track, through which the deanship implemented a course entitled "Foundations of Successful Dialogue" with the attendance of more than 50 male and female beneficiaries, as well as the "Values of Watan" track, which offers a number of national competitions that witness great attendance and participation from community members, during which immediate gifts are distributed to the winners, and a corner dedicated to the national drawings competition for children to develop the national sense of belonging for children and young people.
