During the ceremony, His Excellency also launched the "Volunteer Center" at the Deanship, which aims to spread and deepen the culture of volunteering, create a database of volunteers, build effective volunteer initiatives, model volunteer work, promote competition between colleges in the field of volunteer work, and build indicators for volunteering within the university.

During his sponsorship of the ceremony, Al-Dawood stressed that the colleagues at the Deanship of Community Service opened the field of participation for all students and affiliates of the university to participate in community service. He expressed his happiness to attend such events at the university, in which everyone sees the fruits of the work and effort exerted at the university, stressing that this shield awarded by the university in the name of community service reflects the efforts of everyone from students, faculty members, college officials and various deanships at the university, and extended many thanks to all who participated in this leading competitive competition that achieves part of the third main objective of the university, which is community service.

Al-Dawood said: "We have a great responsibility at the university, with all its units, departments and colleges, because society is in dire need of these efforts, and there is no doubt that we were pleased with the large number of those who benefited from the services of Qassim University from all categories of society, but society still needs us to provide it with more than what we provided, and perhaps colleagues are studying the participation of all departments, deanships and colleges in this competition, as there is no excuse for any of the parties to provide a service to the community and evaluate the participation of everyone who provided a service to the community.

Al-Dawood pointed out that the vigor, activity and keenness of the university's students and employees to provide their community services to all segments of society has greatly contributed to the appearance of the university in a manner befitting its status, despite the great burdens placed on them, stressing that the burden of community service should not be limited only to the colleges but to everyone at the university, as everyone must provide a service to the community that expects more from the university than from any other party, and thank God we can distinguish and provide this through the efforts of the brothers and sisters and their abilities, energies and excellence.

He emphasized that this tender will be a service to our country under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, may Allah protect them, and with the continuous encouragement of His Highness the Emir of the region and his deputy, may Allah protect them, who constantly encourage the university, especially in terms of community service, thanking the community service for this competition and everyone who contributed to it, praying that the university will be at the forefront of universities in community service, education, or scientific research.

For his part, the Dean of the Deanship of Community Service, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Nusayyan, affirmed that this award had a clear impact on motivating colleges to present what they have in the best form in order to serve the community, as everyone saw quantitative and qualitative leaps in the numbers of participants, and the number of beneficiaries this year exceeded more than 50 thousand people, and the number of colleges participating in this session reached 22 colleges with 58% of the university colleges, and the increase in competing colleges for this session was 7 colleges, in addition to the increase in the competing colleges for this session.
