Geography of the population

Course Description: The course aims to introduce the importance and development of demographic studies, and the natural movement of populations in terms of gender and age composition, and the factors affecting their growth. It also covers the science of migration, defining concepts of cyclical or temporary migration and permanent migration, and the causes or motives of internal and external migration. Demographic problems are discussed in terms of causes and consequences. The course will also study the results and developments arising from events in some Arab countries and their impact on populations, along with the study of demographic equations.

Recognizing demographic concepts and terminology, data sources, theories, and population changes and their impact on population distribution and characteristics, in addition to developing skills in analyzing demographic statistics.
