- This policy applies to all requests by individuals for access to their academic or personal information that is produced or processed through the University's electronic platforms. This includes academic information, academic records, research data, and faculty information.

- The provisions of this policy do not apply to the following protected information:

1. Information whose disclosure would jeopardize the national security, policy, interests, or rights of the State.

2. Information containing recommendations, proposals or consultations for legislation or government decisions that have not yet been issued.

3. Military and security information.

4. Information of a commercial, industrial, financial or economic nature, the disclosure of which would result in unlawful profit or loss.

5. Information related to tenders, bids and auctions whose disclosure would prejudice the fairness of competition.

6. Confidential or personal information under another statute, or requires certain statutory procedures to access or obtain it.

7. Protected information and documents obtained by agreement with another country.

- The terms and conditions of this policy are subject to change, as Qassim University reserves the right to modify the Digital Information Access Policy at any time and for any reason and we will adjust the date in (Last Updated) at the bottom of the page to reflect the modification on this page.

3. Steps to access the information:

For students:
- Self-access: Students can access their basic academic information such as grades, class schedules, and attendance records through the student portal.
- Detailed access: If additional information or detailed reports are needed, students can submit a formal request stating the type of information requested and the purpose for which it is needed.

For faculty members and researchers:
- Access to research data: Faculty members and researchers can request access to specific research data by submitting a formal request that includes details of the research and the importance of accessing this information.
- Review and authorization: Applications are reviewed by an academic committee for compliance with the university's academic and ethical policies.

For administrators and employees:
- Access to employment records: Administrative staff can access their job and personal records via the employee portal, with measures in place to protect confidentiality
