Cybersecurity Management

Many of the buildings of the General Administration at Qassim University feature an internal courtyard that is divided into several areas and is distinguished by the appropriate color, and green plants are parked in these areas. This courtyard also contains classrooms and customized spaces under a specific roof according to the design.

Overview

The Department of Cybersecurity at Qassim University was established in accordance with the Royal Decree No. 37140 dated 1438/08/14 AH, which stipulates the establishment of an independent department concerned with cybersecurity, and the decision of His Excellency the President of the University No. 69346 dated 19/06/1441 AH to establish the department to be independent of the Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology, and the department adopts the promotion of cybersecurity and protection of the university's technical assets and managing potential risks against cyber risks to ensure the continuity of the educational, research and administrative work of the university.

Enhancing the cybersecurity of the university's technological infrastructure, ensuring the protection of data and information, and raising security awareness among all university affiliates.

Mission

The Cybersecurity Vision provides a brief description of where the university aspires to be in terms of its cybersecurity posture as of the fourth quarter of 2024 and over the next three years, and describes its future target cybersecurity posture, where cybersecurity excellence is achieved and a secure educational and research environment that supports innovation and creativity is provided.
