Overview
Scientific and research cooperation and the exchange of experiences and knowledge with universities and similar specialized bodies are considered one of the most important means of developing knowledge, education and scientific research and reaching advanced levels capable of achieving the university's mission, vision and plans and finding solutions to the issues and challenges faced by the university. Cooperation between universities and scientific research centers contributes effectively to the development of educational programs, establishing the concept of knowledge economy, helping to achieve standards of excellence and quality, strengthening academic ties between universities, exchanging experiences with successful experiences, and presenting joint research initiatives and projects. Therefore, the university was keen to have a department specialized in activating scientific and research cooperation between the university and distinguished scientific and research bodies locally and internationally in the field of research and education.

The university should make maximum use of scientific, cognitive and research cooperation with universities and scientific institutions and scientific events to develop Qassim University's educational, scientific and research programs and their excellence and quality.

Activating scientific cooperation, research and educational partnerships, and knowledge exchange with universities and institutions globally in order to enhance the role of Qassim University in sustainable development and building a distinguished and prestigious scientific and research community.
Objectives
- Promoting and developing international cooperation between the university and international universities and prestigious educational and research institutions.
- Activating scientific and research cooperation with universities and educational institutions to achieve the continuous development and modernization of the university's scientific, educational and research programs.
- Studying the proposed cooperation agreements, companies, and twinning programs and recommending the activation of the distinctive ones, sponsoring them, following up on their implementation, and evaluating them.
- Enhancing opportunities to benefit from the Kingdom's international agreements in the educational and research fields that serve the university and its development plans.
- Supervising the university's international activities in coordination with other sectors of the university (deanships, colleges, research centers, and departments).
- Developing distinctive plans and mechanisms that enhance the university's position in terms of international relations with prestigious international universities.
- Providing developmental proposals that would enhance the competitiveness and standing of the university at the global level.
- Developing policies and establishing best practices in the university's international relations.
- Activating the use of scientific and research exchange through visiting professors' programs.
- Proposing an annual plan for conferences, seminars, workshops and the like and coordinating with the organizers at the university.
- Develop an organizational plan for faculty members to attend conferences, seminars, and workshops.
The department shall:
- Studying and sponsoring service contracts and agreements between the university and other scientific and research organizations with excellence in the subject of the agreement, following up on their implementation, evaluating them administratively and financially, and making recommendations about them.
- Activating visiting professors programs by adopting a mechanism to attract prominent local and international scientists and researchers to participate in the university's educational, research and service programs, in a way that contributes to the development of education and its quality, the development of educational programs and plans, scientific research and knowledge exchange.
- Develop a plan to organize scientific events at the university (conferences, seminars, workshops and the like) and coordinate with the organizers at the university.
- Developing a plan to organize the participation of faculty members in conferences, seminars, workshops, and the like.
