Open Data Guidelines and Policies

Article I:
The data available in the Qassim University Open Data Library is the main source of data that officially expresses the university, and the university is not obligated to interpret its content except for the documents included with it, at the time of publication on the library.
Article II:
Qassim University is not responsible for any errors or missing data in this open data or in any of the intellectual products that resulted from it, and the university is not liable for any damages or losses that may occur due to this.
Article III:
By accessing and using the university's official open data library, the user agrees and acknowledges full compliance with the terms and conditions of this open data usage policy of Qassim University.
Article IV:
The terms, policies and conditions of the Open Data Usage Agreement published via the university's official open data library are subject to modification and revision by the university without prior notification to the beneficiary, and the beneficiary has the duty to review this policy continuously and effectively.
Article V:
These policies for open data published via the university's official library do not grant you ownership, disposition, or any other legal rights, and Qassim University reserves all such rights collectively or individually, and under all associated legal circumstances.
Article VI:
The beneficiary of the data published through the university's official open data library is responsible for mentioning the source and the page on the library platform in order to achieve credibility and quick access to the correct information.
Article VII:
All data published through the university's official open data library can be reused directly, without financial fees, administrative or legal reviews, and the beneficiary has the right to use it directly from the official library of Al-Qassim University.
Article VIII:
When the beneficiary sends the data published in the official open data library of Qassim University to a third party, in its original format or after modification and processing, he must mention its source and its official electronic reference to the university with a direct link to these policies on the Qassim University electronic portal.
Article IX:
It is strictly forbidden to use the data of Qassim Open University for suspicious, misleading or illegal purposes in violation of the regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and in case this is proven, the university has the full and unconditional right to claim its legal rights as it deems appropriate.
Article X:
The beneficiary of the open data provided by Qassim University is obligated to remove all data or what results from it (intellectual or legal products) upon the university's request, for reasons deemed necessary and appropriate by the university, or in the event that the original data is deleted from the library directly by the university.
Article XI:
The beneficiary of the open data provided by Al-Qassim University is obligated to remove all intellectual, administrative, legal and scientific products, whenever it is proven that the provisions and conditions of these policies have been violated, or if requested by Al-Qassim University, without the need to mention the reasons leading to this.
Article XII:
All data published through the Qassim University Open Data Library is subject to information security policies at the time of publication and Qassim University guarantees the integrity, reliability and authenticity of this data in its original location before it is copied or uploaded to the beneficiary's location.
Article XIII:
The user of the data published through the official open data library of Qassim University after copying it is not entitled to claim or act on the basis that he/she represents Qassim University in presenting what this open data shows or that he/she has been officially authorized by Qassim University, nor may he/she claim to represent an official governmental entity.
Article XIV:
The source of data copied from the Qassim University Open Data Library must be clearly and explicitly stated in all applications, websites, articles, and scientific research that use or republish these data after analysis, modification, re-presentation, or editing.

Instructions for use

• The Open Data Library provides data in many formats, which can be viewed through a browser or dedicated software.
• The university allows users to access and use open data and is responsible for its reuse, and this right is guaranteed to all users.
• The user must not misrepresent this data or its source.
• This data must not be used for political purposes, to support illegal or criminal activity, racist or discriminatory comments, inflammation, negative influence on culture or equality, incitement, or any activity that is irregular or contrary to the Kingdom's customs and traditions.
• When using this data, the source of the data must be indicated (the university portal).
• The source of the reused information must be indicated by putting the link to the university portal to preserve the intellectual property of the data, its credibility, and the validity of its source.
