The Department of Scholarships for Non-Saudis
at Qassim University is based in its work on the regulation
issued by the Council of Ministers No. (94) dated 29/3/1431 AH, and is
concerned with the following:
First:
Scholarships are divided into two parts:
A - Internal scholarships for
students residing in the Kingdom of regular residence.
B - External scholarships for
students outside the Kingdom.
Second:
Objectives of the scholarships:
1- Teaching the Arabic language, and
spreading the culture of moderation and moderation.
2- Preparing specialized scientists
active in their communities in all disciplines.
3- Attracting scientifically
distinguished students to achieve diversity and enrich scientific research.
4- Establishing scientific and
cultural ties with educational institutions, Islamic and scientific bodies and
institutions in the world, and documenting them to serve humanity.
5- Strengthening solidarity between
the Kingdom and the countries of the world.
6- Introducing students to the
Kingdom and the scientific, economic, political, social and health renaissance
it is witnessing.
Third:
Admission Requirements:
1- Internal and external scholarship
students shall be subject to the admission requirements applicable to Saudis in
higher education institutions.
2- The admission of students of
external scholarships requires the following:
a. The age of the student shall not be less
than (17) years and not more than (25) years for the undergraduate stage and
the Institute of Teaching Arabic Language or its equivalent, (30) years for the
master's degree, (35) years for the doctoral stage, and the Council of the
educational institution may make an exception from that.
In. The student allowance government must
approve the study in the Kingdom for countries that require this for Saudi students.
c. The student should not have received another
scholarship from one of the educational institutions in the Kingdom.
W. Certificates and identification papers must
be certified by the competent authorities determined by the educational
institution.
C. To bring a certificate free of precedents
from the security services in his country.
Going to. Not to be dismissed from one of the
educational institutions in the Kingdom.
X. The student must be with a mahram, in
accordance with the instructions regulating this, provided that he is covered
by a scholarship, has a regular residence, or submits to the register of an
employer in need of his services.
D. To pass the medical examination prescribed
by the regulations and instructions.
3- The Council of the educational
institution shall set the executive rules governing the admission of
scholarship students from within, taking into account the following:
a. The student must obtain the approval of the
person who has his record to study in the educational institution.
In. The student must be a regular resident in
the Kingdom.
Fifth:
Submission of grant applications:
a. The Kingdom's embassies and
representations abroad.
In. Higher education institutions in
the Kingdom.
Sixth:
Procedures for accepting scholarship students:
1- The Kingdom's embassies and
representations abroad shall receive scholarship applications submitted to them
in accordance with the principles approved by the Standing Committee formed in
the Ministry of Higher Education, and after verifying those applications, the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall refer them to higher education, provided that
this is within the specified periods, and applications for admission will not
be accepted, as agreed upon in the Standing Committee.
2- The Ministry of Higher Education
refers the names of students nominated for study to the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, to complete the initially accepted students by reviewing the Kingdom's
representations in their countries to complete the visa procedures.
3- In the event that scholarship
applications are received from abroad to higher education institutions in the
Kingdom, the Ministry of Higher Education, after fulfilling the conditions
prescribed by law, sends the names of the nominated students to the concerned
authorities and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and takes measures in accepting
them.
Seventh:
Advantages of scholarships.

general conditions for applying for grants the research groups are:
1- The
principal investigator must be a faculty member at the university and his academic
degree shall not be less than that of an assistant professor.
2- A research associate from outside the university can be involved.
3- The faculty member of the university has the right to participate
in two research projects in one research course "Academic Year" "Provided
that he is not a principal investigator in more than one research project.
4- The
research proposal must not have been previously submitted for support to any other
party and will not be submitted to support to any other party after agreeing to
support it and not to be a search derived from a message Master and PhD Academy
or student projects.
5- The research proposal should not exceed the percentage approved by
the Deanship when testing in the Al-Qabas program approved by The Deanship and announced
on the website of the Deanship of Scientific Research.
6- The applicant should not have stumbling research according to the
conditions of stumbling determined by the Deanship of Research Scientific.
7- The application is made through the electronic program Scientific
Research Tracking System, RTMS of the Deanship.
8- The remuneration of the research team shall be disbursed after the
submission of the final report on the technical and financial conformity of the
research with the publication Scientific for two scientific papers within the latest
version of ISI lists databases of the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI)
published by the Thomson Reuters Foundation.
9 - Refer to the support of the Deanship of Scientific Research at the
University when publishing the research in its official name Qassim University.
10. Remuneration of research teams in all grants shall be disbursed in
accordance with the Unified Regulations for Scientific Research after the expiry
of the contract period. And meet the conditions for closing the project.
11. The duration of the scholarship is from one to two years.
12 The research team should consist of at least three researchers from
different and integrated disciplines and different departments or colleges, preferably
involving graduate students.

within the scientific production of the group.
The University Launches «Wa'ed
Scholarship» to Support New Saudi Faculty Members

The University,
represented by the Deanship of Scientific Research, launched a scientific grant
under the slogan «Wa'ed» for the new Saudi faculty members at the university,
who have not been appointed to an assistant professor for more than a year,
with the aim of attracting them to the environment of distinguished scientific
research, by providing material support and providing the appropriate and
encouraging environment to spread the spirit of competition among researchers.
For his part,
Dr. Mansour Al-Shuraida, Dean of the Deanship of Scientific Research, explained
that the Deanship aims behind this project primarily to support new researchers
and support them at the beginning of their research career, allowing the
discovery of distinguished researchers early on so that they can be a key
pillar in the research work at the university in the future, pointing out that
the new faculty members benefiting from this grant are the ones who have not
been appointed to the rank of assistant professor from the Saudis for more than
a year.
Al-Sherida
pointed out that if the researcher publishes a scientific paper in a refereed journal
and classified within the publishing vessels of "ISI or Scopus", then
he gets 20 points, and he must submit the research proposal in detail through
the electronic program for applying for research (RTMS) of the Deanship, and
also signs a contract between the researcher and the Deanship of Scientific
Research after matching the conditions, as the duration of the project is one
year starting from the date of signing the contract is not extendable,
