His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mashal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Amir of the Al-Qassim Region, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saud, Deputy Amir of the Region, honored Al-Qassim University on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, for winning in several categories of the first edition of the \u00abPrince Faisal bin Mashal bin Saud Award for Voluntary Work,\u00bb during the ceremony held at the King Khalid Cultural Center in the city of Buraidah. The award was received by His Royal Highness the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharkh.
The university won the award in the category of Outstanding Supporter of Voluntary Work in the fields of material and informational support, and also won first place and the Gold Medal in the category of Best Volunteer Idea and Initiative, in an achievement that reflects the university\u2019s efforts in supporting voluntary work and its initiatives, enhancing its culture, and maximizing its impact in serving the community.<\/p>
The Sustainable Development Team from the University\u2019s Center for Sustainable Development also came in second place and received the silver medal in the \u00abCollaborators\u00bb branch for the best volunteer team.<\/p>
The Amir of the Al-Qassim Region honored Professor Salma Bint Ibrahim Al-Aidi, a member of the university\u2019s faculty, for achieving second place and the silver medal in the branch of the volunteer clock record, and Professor Maryam Bint Fahd Al-Hwarqi, for achieving third place and the bronze medal in the same branch, in appreciation of their efforts and contributions to volunteer work.<\/p><\/p>
