{"id":72220,"date":"2026-05-08T17:52:21","date_gmt":"2026-05-08T14:52:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.qu.edu.sa\/?p=72220"},"modified":"2026-05-08T17:52:26","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T14:52:26","slug":"specialized-workshops-and-practical-experiences-enrich-the-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.qu.edu.sa\/en\/news\/72220\/","title":{"rendered":"Specialized workshops and practical experiences enrich the Eighth Engineering Scientific Forum."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The university witnessed the organization of several workshops and discussion sessions as part of the activities of the Eighth Scientific Engineering Forum, organized by the College of Engineering under the slogan \u201cEngineering for Quality of Life,\u201d held in the main foyer of the university city, with the participation of a select group of academics and specialists.<p>The forum included a short presentation competition discussing the scientific research outputs of postgraduate students.<br>Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Olayan, a faculty member at the College of Languages and Humanities, delivered a lecture titled \u201cFrom Paper to Job.\u201d During the lecture, he discussed the workings of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), the fundamental rules of writing a professional resume, keyword extraction techniques, and enhancing professional presence on LinkedIn, all aimed at equipping students for efficient entry into the job market.<\/p><p>Professor Dr. Abdulaziz Suleiman Al-Aboudi, a faculty member at the College of Engineering, presented a workshop titled \u201cEngineering Graduation Projects: From Design to Innovation and Market Entry.\u201d He discussed ways to transform graduation projects from academic ideas into innovative, applicable, and investable solutions, thereby enhancing their marketability and aligning them with market needs.<\/p><p>The events also included a \u201cTEDx QEC Talks\u201d session titled \u201cOur Engineers in the Job Market,\u201d featuring a selection of College of Engineering graduates who shared their professional experiences and career paths, presenting inspiring examples that reflect opportunities for success and development in various engineering fields.<\/p><p>This forum is part of an integrated system offered by the forum, which aims to develop students' skills, enhance their professional readiness, and connect educational outcomes with the requirements of the labor market, in line with the goals of innovation and quality of life.<\/p><\/p> <p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#1588;&#1607;&#1583;&#1578;
