His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Al-Qassim region, congratulated his sons and daughters, the students, on the extension of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Scholarship Program. He noted that the program reflects the insightful vision of the leader of this blessed country, aimed at building the Saudi individual and empowering them to gain knowledge from every corner of the world, emphasizing the importance of arming oneself with faith and Islamic constants. .<\/div>\n
This came during His Highness's impromptu speech at the opening of the Fifth Forum for Dental Students in the Kingdom, organized by the College of Dentistry at Qassim University in King Khalid Cultural Center in the city of Buraidah, in the presence of more than 15 dental colleges representing Saudi colleges and universities.<\/div>\n
His Highness praised the great expansion witnessed by Qassim University, which currently has 38 colleges, including 11 specialized health colleges. He affirmed that this reflects the sincere efforts of the administration that is leading the young university towards horizons of excellence, stating: \"Our young university is characterized by a conscious administration led by one of the sons of our dear homeland, who is known for his excellence and professional management.\".<\/div>\n
His Highness considered Qassim University to be a pioneer in initiatives that serve the region and the Kingdom in general, including the opening of departments for female students in the College of Dentistry, making it the first college in the Kingdom to offer female students the opportunity to study this important specialization.<\/div>\n
His Highness sent a message to his sons and daughters, students, saying: You are the nation's asset and its security valve, a nation that aspires to your many achievements, your support, and your solidarity. You are the hope and foundation of the future. Therefore, always live up to expectations so that the nation is proud of you and you are proud of it.<\/div>\n
His Highness did not hide his happiness at being among students of science and knowledge at this purposeful forum, which brings together the sons and daughters of the nation to benefit from positive practices and experiences from the international experts whom we are pleased to have. He offered his thanks and appreciation to the male and female students of the College of Dentistry at Qassim University for their wonderful organization of this forum, commending the efforts and honorable career of the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Muhaymid.<\/div>\n
The ceremony included an addressed program that began with verses from the Holy Quran. The forum president, student Sulaiman Al-Rashid, praised His Highness's patronage of the forum and wished that it would achieve the desired goals for its establishment. .<\/div>\n
As Dean of the College of Dentistry, Dr. Mohammed Al-Muhimid, pointed out, since its inception, the College of Dentistry has committed itself to not being a traditional college that merely delivers information to students for them to passively receive and then be tested on their memorization. Instead, since its curriculum was designed, the college has been keen on training students in cognitive skills and other skills such as leadership, scientific research, and community engagement.<\/div>\n
Dr. Al-Muhaymid reviewed a number of the college's activities, such as voluntary dental convoys, which are concerned with visiting centers and providing consultations, treatment, surgeries, and awareness to their residents for free, in addition to the dental clinics at the university city, which provide their services to all segments of society for free.<\/div>\n
After that, His Highness honored the sponsors and participants before inaugurating the exhibitions accompanying the forum, where he toured and praised the participating students for their organizational skills and creativity.<\/div>\n
