The development of this society is built on several pillars: the entrenchment of knowledge values, a developed educational system, a strong foundation of technology and communication networks, trained and qualified human resources, and an environment that stimulates research and innovation. As for the knowledge economy, it is<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">That economy which<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">depends<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">On<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">Industries<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">Cognitive<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> And commodification of knowledge and its investment<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">Effectively<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">To achieve<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">Development<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">Economic<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">and social in light of the availability of the components of a knowledge society. <\/span><\/div><div><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">This came during His Excellency's opening of the Knowledge Economy seminar, organized by the College of Economics and Management at the university, with the participation of experts from inside and outside the Kingdom on Tuesday morning at the university city.<\/span><\/div><div><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">His Excellency said in a working paper he delivered at the symposium's main session, titled (The Role of Qassim University in Building a Knowledge Society: The University's Message): It is necessary<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">To<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">I<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">Signal<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">To<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">Truth<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">Example<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">lies in<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">In<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">Developed countries prioritize acquiring, transferring, exchanging, and utilizing knowledge, and supporting skill-building domains and training competitive competencies that benefit economic and social sectors, thereby increasing their capacity to form components of the knowledge economy. Our Saudi universities found an opportune moment to start where others left off, in response to the noble royal directives that the Kingdom places great importance on scientific research, development, and transformation towards human development as the cornerstone and ultimate goal of progress. This approach has been adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education, which has called upon universities to assume their responsibility towards it.<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> The government, represented by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, has sought to stimulate the private sector to increase its role in building a knowledge economy, while expanding the areas of partnership between the private sector and the research and development system to build a knowledge society. The university has also been keen to establish a Waqf Council and an International Advisory Council, all of which requires constant communication with private sector partners, promoting best practices, and exchanging expertise to help it improve its intended community services and achieve excellence in its outcomes.<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">and its relationships with its partners according to a strategic direction based on the concept of the knowledge economy and its components. This is to make the knowledge economy a fundamental pillar for building a knowledge society within a context where we strive to achieve sustainable development, leading us to the ultimate goal of all these efforts: societal progress, improved quality of life, and meeting the needs of present and future generations. This is what our wise government is pursuing through the strategic objectives of development plans, and what the Ministry of Economy and Planning aspires to, as it plans the transition towards a knowledge economy and society, sensing its social responsibility and national duty.<\/span><\/div><div><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:large\">Al-Mutairi pointed out that the college was keen to involve the relevant private and public sectors, especially the Ministry of Economy and Planning, the Ministry of Higher Education and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, in addition to Knowledge Economic City and a number of technology valley companies in the Kingdom, while clarifying the importance of raising community awareness about the knowledge economy to achieve community benefit from the job opportunities it can provide.<\/span><span style=\"font-family:Arial;
