The Qassim University football team was crowned champion of the Saudi Universities Sports Federation Cup after defeating the Taif University team in the final match. The game took place on Friday, June 25, 1435 AH, at King Fahd Sports City Stadium in Al-Hawiyah. Qassim University won with a score of three goals to two, with goals scored by Abdulaziz Al-Harbi, Bandar Al-Harbi, and Salman Al-Othman.<\/p>
The match witnessed a footballing duel that embodied the strength and beauty of football competitions between our Saudi universities. Al-Qassim University took the lead first, before Taif University equalized. Al-Qassim then took the lead again, before Taif equalized for the second time. Minutes before the end of the match and from a well-executed attack, the university champions scored the winning goal, officially crowning Al-Qassim University with the fourth edition of the Saudi Universities Sports Federation championship after a long journey that began with the group stage. .<\/p>
His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Professor Dr. Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Hmoodi, congratulated everyone on this great achievement, appreciating the support of the wise leadership for the progress of Saudi universities. He affirmed that the establishment of the Saudi Universities Sports Federation reflects the extent of the state's attention to youth activities, pointing out that the Federation has succeeded in creating a sports movement among our universities.<\/p>
His Excellency appreciated the support and interest of His Highness the Governor of Al-Qassim region and His Highness the Deputy Governor in all that would elevate the university in all educational, cultural, creative, and sports fields. He [His Excellency] also appreciated the interest of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and His Excellency the Deputy Minister in advancing this union to perform the role it undertakes towards the sons of the nation by organizing multiple sports competitions in various games.,<\/p>
His Excellency renewed his congratulations to the university's champions, congratulating the players, coaches, administrators, supervisors, and the Deanship of Student Affairs for their excellence in these competitions.<\/p>

On his part, Dr. Khaled bin Abdulaziz Al-Shraideh, Dean of Student Affairs, congratulated the members of the technical and administrative staff and the players on winning the Saudi Universities Championship Cup. He praised the honorable performance presented by the team throughout the tournament, which truly reflected the current state of university sports, receiving full support and attention from His Excellency the University President, Dr. Khaled Al-Moudi, and the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tami.
\nDr. Al-Sharida pointed out that the champions, by winning, added the football cup to the table tennis championship cup, in which the university achieved first place in all categories (doubles, singles, teams), alongside medals in swimming, judo, and karate. He praised the efforts made and still being made by the technical and administrative staff and the students.<\/p>
On his part, the Supervisor General of Sports Activities, Abdullah Al Khalifa, expressed, on his own behalf and on behalf of all members of the sports supervision and students, his thanks to His Excellency the University President, the Vice President for Educational Affairs, the Dean of Student Affairs, and the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Fahad Al-Dal'e, for their support, patronage, and follow-up of the university team since the beginning of the preparations for this tournament and their participation in it. This great achievement, praise be to God, was a result of their efforts.<\/p>

The heroes of this achievement also expressed their happiness at winning the Saudi Universities Championship, emphasizing that this was achieved through the grace of Almighty God, followed by the support of the university leadership, the Deanship of Student Affairs, and those in charge of the team, including coaches, administrators, and supervisors. They pointed out that topping the Saudi universities list in sports will push them to make more effort in upcoming competitions to stay at the top. .<\/p>
