The President of Qassim University and the Secretary of the region are outlining the features of a cooperation agreement between the university and the municipality.<\/p>
Dr. Al-Hammoudi: Prospects for cooperation with the Secretariat have been ongoing since the university's founding, and the agreement is an extension of positive harmony.<\/p>

The Rector of the University, Professor Dr. Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamoudi, and the Secretary of Qassim Region, Engineer Saleh bin Ahmed Al-Ahmed, have outlined the features of a cooperation agreement that brings together the university and the municipality in several fields, with the aim of development and exchange of expertise between the two entities to activate cooperation between government sectors.<\/p>
The initial steps of cooperation between the two sides appeared in the formation of a team comprising the university and the secretariat to study the development of the university suburb in a manner befitting and commensurate with the importance of the area surrounding the university in the city of Buraydah. This area includes, in addition to the university city, Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz International Airport, the National Guard, and an Aramco station, which emphasizes the importance of accelerating the process of studying its development mechanisms.<\/p>
The collaboration mechanism between the two parties will also extend to include everything that contributes to supporting their path, studying and developing it, which will serve them and thus serve the region in general.<\/p>
Your Excellency, the President of the University affirmed that the cooperation between the university and the municipality is not new, as the level of interaction between the two entities has reached a high degree since the establishment of the university. He pointed out the university's continuous interaction with the municipality's occasions and events and its active participation in them, such as the Date, Spring, and Summer festivals. In return, the municipality has spared no effort in supporting the university's expansion march by allocating suitable lands for the establishment of the university's college facilities in the city of Buraydah and all the governorates and centers of the region. He emphasized that the cooperation agreement comes as an extension of this positive harmony that unites the university and the municipality, and aims to develop it through field studies that will benefit the region in general, God willing.<\/p>
For his part, the Secretary of the Qassim region praised the hospitality of the dean, vice deans, and university staff for the municipality team during their visit to the university, noting that the cooperation agreement would lead to the exchange of expertise and the expansion of interaction horizons between the two entities. He expressed his happiness with the development plans he observed at the university, which align with the aspirations and support of the wise leadership and are in line with the ambitions of the region's youth and the nation in general. He emphasized that the university's recent achievement of accreditation as the third governmental university by the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment reflects the extent of the efforts made to enhance the university. He commended the excellence of the university's projects, stressing that their excellence and management by a Saudi team, represented by the university's project management, are a source of pride and honor. He wished further success for this prominent scientific institution, which is a beacon of brilliance in various fields.<\/p>
The Secretary visited His Excellency the University President in the presence of its Vice Presidents, accompanied by the Secretariat's Vice Presidents and directors of some departments. They also visited the University's Projects and Maintenance Department. During the visit, they were briefed on the work mechanism. They listened to a detailed explanation presented by the Director General of Projects and Maintenance, Engineer Suleiman bin Saleh Al-Faridi, his assistant Engineer Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Ruqaiba, and the projects management team. They also conducted a field visit to a number of the university's completed and under-construction projects. During these visits, they expressed their admiration for the excellence of the university's projects, stating their desire to benefit from the professional work methodology offered by the university's Projects and Maintenance Department, which represents a model to be emulated in the field of project establishment and management.<\/p>
