He noted that he witnessed a scientific passion from professors and students that surpassed anything he had seen in many of his visits to numerous universities.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"center\">The renowned scholar emphasized that Saudi Arabia is currently the leading force in research among Arab universities, stating: \u201cMy numerous and diverse books across all fields of knowledge account for 75% of publications in the Kingdom alone and 25% in the Arab world. This demonstrates a strong commitment to and great enthusiasm for science and knowledge.\u201d.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"center\">The guest expressed his deep gratitude to the rulers of this country for the attention they pay to science and scientific research. He advised students to rejoice in this blessing and to thank God for it.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"RTL\" align=\"center\">This came during the meeting of Dr. Awad Maarouf Al-Obaidi with His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Khalid Al-Hummoudi, as part of his visit to the university. The College of Sharia and Islamic Studies at the university hosted Professor Dr. Bashar Awad Maarouf Al-Obaidi, the renowned researcher and famous scholar, as a visiting professor at the Research Center in the College of Sharia for one week.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"center\">The first event was held, titled \u201cThe Future of Editing and Scientific Research,\u201d which was attended by a large number of faculty members at the college. The guest discussed the concept and types of editing, explored the future of scientific research, and reviewed the historical journey of scientific research in Arab universities. He emphasized the urgent need to support scientific research and encourage distinguished researchers. He also suggested establishing a manuscript editing institute at the college to train researchers in this field. Furthermore, the guest stressed that only those with specialized and precise knowledge of the book they are working on should engage in editing, as editing is not a craft separate from knowledge, but rather a purely scientific endeavor. Following this, a discussion took place with faculty members regarding editing and scientific research.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">\n<\/p><p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"center\">A scientific event titled \u201cResearch Journey\u201d was held, during which the guest speaker met with professors and postgraduate students at the college. The guest spoke about his research journey, covering his academic milestones and his career in scientific research. He mentioned the difficulties he faced in his studies and research. He then advised the students to cherish the blessing of living in this generous country with safety and security, where the leadership has provided them with all the scientific and administrative resources they need. He also reminded them of the blessing of seeking knowledge, as they benefit from free education in this country in all aspects.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"center\">The stages of study, and this is a great blessing that they should thank God for. Then, after that, the floor was opened for discussions and questions. The meeting was moderated by the Director of the Center for Sharia Research, Dr. Khalid Aba Al-Khail.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"center\">&nbsp;.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"center\">The College of Arabic Language and Social Studies hosted its guest in a scientific event titled: \u201cAcademic Research: Necessity vs. Luxury.\u201d The event was attended by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Thami, the Dean of the College of Arabic Language and Social Studies, and professors from the Arabic Language Department. The meeting was moderated by the Dean of the College of Arabic Language and Social Studies, Professor Dr. Ali Al-Saud, who spoke about the importance of academic research. He also pointed out that some opinions suggest there is no need for research in this era. Then, Dr. Bashar highlighted the scientific concept of academic research, emphasizing that researchers must be scientific scholars in their specialized fields. He then addressed the importance of research by noting that many books have been commercially \"researched\" but require a proper academic re-examination in accordance with the principles of scientific research methodology.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"center\">Then, after the meeting concluded, the esteemed guest proceeded to a meeting with the members of the Sheikh Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Rashed Chair for the Service of the Prophet's Biography and Sunnah. During this meeting, he met with the members and exchanged many ideas, projects, and research proposals that serve the chair's activities.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"center\">&nbsp;.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"center\">Dr. Bashar Awad met via the television network with postgraduate students from all programs at the College of Sharia. He discussed the obstacles and motivators of scientific research, and drew attention to the importance of scientific and skill-based foundational knowledge for researchers. Afterward, he answered the students' questions and was pleased with their academic level. The meeting was moderated by the Director of the Center for Sharia Research, Dr. Khalid Aba Al-Khail.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"center\">The Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen Chair for Sharia Studies also organized a scientific event for the guest titled \u201cManagement of Scientific Projects: Visions and Experiences.\u201d The guest recounted many successful scientific experiences and emphasized the importance of good planning and organization, and executing work with superior skill, benefiting from the experiences of others.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"center\">The Deanship of Libraries organized a scientific event at the Central Library on campus titled \u201dA Book's Story.\u201d The esteemed guest, accompanied by the Dean of the Deanship of Library Affairs, Dr. Yousef Al-Rujayee, toured the library and familiarized himself with its sections and departments.
