His Excellency Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, praised the achievements of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his first year after the Saudi people pledged allegiance to His Highness as Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister. This followed the issuance of the decision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, a decision that was based on the overwhelming majority support of the Allegiance Council members and was blessed by all segments of Saudi society.<\/span><\/p> \"Al-Dawood\" affirmed, on the occasion of the anniversary of the pledge of allegiance to His Highness during these blessed days, that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz \u2013 may God protect him \u2013 is moving with firm and steadfast steps towards the future. Day by day, Saudi policy, both internally and externally, proves its wisdom, foresight, and strategic vision based on firm principles, balanced interests, and not being swayed by slogans or media gambits.<\/span><\/p> Al-Dawood explained that it is difficult to review the works and efforts undertaken by His Highness since assuming his responsibilities as Crown Prince, as he has become a well-known political figure not only on a regional level but also on an international level. He pointed to the choices of international magazines and media outlets for His Highness as one of the most influential figures, which reflects a facet of his work, his political and economic movement, and his developmental role in the present and future development of the Kingdom, as he is the architect of the (2030) vision and the direct supervisor of the implementation of its programs and projects. Preliminary results of the vision project have appeared in the increase of non-oil revenues in the state's general budget, which rose in the first quarter of 2018 by about 63%, an unprecedented increase that confirms the success of the economic reforms pursued by the Kingdom.<\/span><\/p> Al-Dawood pointed to His Highness's launch of the vast NEOM economic project, which will contribute to increasing the Kingdom's gross domestic product and enhance its economic and political weight regionally and globally. In addition, His Highness, through his chairmanship of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, plays a pivotal and important role in developing the organizational structures of government sectors, monitoring government performance, reviewing systems and regulations, and activating control and spending methods. His Highness also chairs the Supreme Committee for Combating Corruption, which gives him the responsibility to implement the orders of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman, may God protect him, in fighting corruption and restricting corrupt individuals. Under the directives of the esteemed King, His Highness led a campaign targeting individuals suspected of corruption, regardless of their positions or ranks, without discrimination. This reflects the sincere and strong will in the administrative and financial reform project that the Kingdom is pursuing in its strenuous endeavor for development, growth, and international competitiveness in all fields.<\/span><\/p> Al-Dawood added that His Highness also adopts the project to localize military industries in the Kingdom, the fruits of which have begun to appear with His Highness signing an agreement between the Saudi Military Industries Company (SAMI) and the American company Boeing. This agreement aims to transfer the technology of integrating weapons onto these aircraft and localize the supply chain for spare parts within the Kingdom. He affirmed that the work and responsibilities of His Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman domestically are linked to the most important files related to development issues, the development of the defense system, addressing unemployment, increasing economic growth, and enhancing citizen welfare.<\/span><\/p> The Director of Qassim University explained that His Highness works around the clock to accomplish these tasks professionally and in record time. He leads an integrated team of qualified Saudis to work on these subjects and issues. His Highness, with his ambition, dedication to achievement and productivity, and his distinction in leadership and initiative, represents an inspiring figure for the youth of the Kingdom, both male and female. His work and initiatives have become a cause for admiration and attention among Saudis and others.<\/span><\/p> On the external level, Al-Daoud affirmed that His Highness, in his first year as Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister, has impressed observers, politicians, and international media with his actions and meetings with world leaders. He undertook historic visits to a number of countries that captured the attention of global media and international decision-making circles. His visits to the United Kingdom and Egypt carried noble messages of tolerance, promoting moderation, highlighting the approach of centrism, and combating terrorism and extremism. Furthermore, His Highness's visit to Russia demonstrated the Kingdom's international weight in the Middle East, in addition to strengthening investments in energy and industry between the Kingdom and Russia.<\/span><\/p> His visit to the United States of America, which included several American cities where he met with the US President, a number of politicians, and American businessmen, received global attention. This was followed by his visit to France. These visits achieved tangible results, including the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding in economic fields, and attracting foreign investments and capital.<\/span><\/p> The Kingdom witnessed the first meeting of the Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council in the past few days, chaired by His Highness on the Saudi side, announcing a new phase of cooperation and integration between the Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates in the fields of economy, human development, political and security integration, and military cooperation between the two countries.<\/span><\/p> And \"Al-Dawood\" saw that the occasion of the first anniversary of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman's assumption of the position of Crown Prince comes as the Kingdom is moving with confident and measured steps towards the future, under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz \u2013 may God protect him \u2013 who is leading the Kingdom to the shores of development, security, and stability.
