Students Ghadeer Al-Jifn and Reema Al-Samaeil from the College of Computing at the university secured third place in the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at) camp. The event took place on Thursday, 18\/4\/1442 AH, with 70 projects submitted by over 1000 male and female students from 23 Saudi universities participating in the camp.
The College of Computer Science participated in the camp through the \"Smart Diet\" project, by students Ghadeer Al-Jafan and Reema Al-Smail, which utilizes artificial intelligence to suggest healthy food suitable for users based on their health status and dietary preferences.<\/p>
This promising project by my university student succeeded in reaching the final stage, which included 12 projects, and later won third place after all participating projects went through three stages over two months of work. Each stage included presentations to a group of specialized judging committees, investors, funds, and individuals, culminating in the project winning third place.<\/p>
This camp comes as part of the University Startup Initiative, a national initiative aimed at creating an environment that empowers entrepreneurs and creative minds in the Kingdom's universities, and supports their transformation into startups.<\/p><\/p>
