The university, represented by the General Administration of Maintenance and Services, continues its participation in the seventh phase of the \u201cGreen Qassim Land\u201d campaign, which began on Sunday, 14\/07\/1442 AH, and will last for 30 days. The university aims to plant approximately 10,000 seedlings of various trees throughout the university city and its various locations, under the direction and supervision of His Excellency Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University.
Since the launch of the seventh phase of the campaign, initiated by His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, the University's Maintenance and Services Department has managed to plant a large number of seedlings in the university city, in addition to seedlings planted in the university's branches in the governorates. This was achieved with the active participation of all university departments to improve the environment within its branches.<\/p>
For his part, the General Supervisor of the General Administration of Services and Maintenance at the university, Engineer Saleh Al-Dala, affirmed that the administration has increased the green space and trees within the university city by more than 50% over the past three years. This is in order to make the university city a green area in conjunction with the campaign of His Highness the Emir of the region. He pointed out that the university, represented by the General Administration of Maintenance and Services, is keen to participate in this campaign every year and will continue to support it to ensure a healthy and clean environment for the people of the Qassim region.<\/p>
Al-Dali added that the university's participation in this campaign aims to increase the green space in the university city and expand afforestation efforts, and to raise the percentage of its total green spaces by planting, spreading, and intensifying afforestation throughout the university's locations, which contributes to improving the air and reducing temperatures in the university city and in all university locations in various governorates, while achieving optimal utilization of treated water in irrigation.<\/p><\/p>
