The university, represented by the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs, the Deanship of Admissions and Registration, and the concerned colleges, has completed all preparations to serve students and meet their academic needs for the summer semester, with the support and patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, the President of the University. He emphasized the importance of adhering to what ensures the quality of education, meets the requirements of the current stage, and keeps pace with the current circumstances in light of the Coronavirus crisis.<p>The university, represented by the Deanship of Academic Affairs, has approved a number of regulations for this year's summer semester. The most prominent of these is limiting instruction to the university's three campuses: the main campus, the South Branch campus in Unaizah, and the West Branch campus in Ar Rass. End-of-semester and final exams will be conducted in person at the three campuses on their scheduled dates according to the academic system, with the application of precautionary health measures.<\/p><p>Summer semester attendance policies include applying the approved absence rate of (20%) in the Blackboard system. Course evaluation depends on what is approved by the academic department councils. Apologizing for a course or the entire summer semester is also not permitted except in cases of extreme necessity and must be through the Standing Committee for Academic Student Issues.<\/p><p>The university council has approved the academic calendar for the summer semester. The relevant university colleges have prepared the study schedules, and registration has been made available to students. The number of course sections available to students reached approximately 800, and the number of registered students reached approximately 15,000.
