Qassim University has obtained a patent document from the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property for a serial robot that can be operated by electromagnetic energy instead of the usual methods of operating the robot, and can be used in a number of industrial fields and robot applications.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The robot's parts consist of a number of segments with a set of electromagnets arranged alternately with springs that balance the forces between these segments, providing various forms of dynamic movement and freedom for the robot cumulatively, powered by electromagnetic energy, and enhancing its opportunities for use in the industrial and medical fields and other various robot applications.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The patented research team included Dr. Fahad bin Nasser Al-Sunaidh, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Amer Al-Rumaih, Dr. Khalid bin Ali Al-Hassoun, Dr. Fahad bin Nasser Al-Salim, Dr. Shaaban Abdulradi Mahmoud, and Dr. Omar Hazem Salim.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
