The Standing Committee for Research Chairs is a committee formed by a decision of the University President, responsible for overseeing the work of research chairs, monitoring their performance, studying matters related to their operational plans, budgets, programs, and projects, and issuing necessary recommendations regarding them, to ensure the achievement of the research chairs' objectives and enhance their scientific and research impact, in accordance with the provisions of the Scientific Research and Innovation Bylaw and its executive regulations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    13. Recommendation to approve the disbursement of overtime compensation for the staff of the Research Chair in accordance with applicable regulations.<\/li>

      The committee meets periodically, no less than four meetings per year, at the invitation of its chairman or as needed.
      2. Quorum: The session shall not be validly held unless two-thirds of the members are present.
      3. Voting: Decisions shall be made by a majority vote, and in the event of a tie, the President's vote shall be decisive.
      4. Attendees: An attendee invited to the meeting does not have the right to vote.
      5. Decision Ratification: Approved committee decisions are submitted to the university president and are considered final unless an objection is raised within fifteen days of their receipt.
