His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Prof. Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamoudi, in the presence of the university vice presidents, launched the Medication Safety Campaign under the slogan "Medication Education Before Medication" yesterday morning in the main lobby of the university headquarters in Al-Malida,

The opening ceremony witnessed an explanation of medicines, their harms and how to use them, in addition to activating a number of different activities and events at the exhibition, in addition to distributing educational publications and providing medical consultations through special medicines, and the campaign included a drug safety competition in which the UQU President and Vice Presidents participated,

It is noteworthy that the campaign lasts for 5 days, as its first day was held in the main lobby of the university, targeting university employees. The campaign will move tomorrow, Tuesday, to the University Studies Center for Female Students in the university city, and then will move between Al-Othaim Mall in Buraydah, Onaiza Mall and King Saud Hospital in Onaiza governorate,

For his part, the supervisor of the campaign, Dr. Muhammad Al-Shammari, a lecturer at the College of Pharmacy in Aniza, explained that the campaign is launched as a message from the values of Qassim University in serving and educating the community in the region and targets citizens in public places with the aim of raising their awareness by promoting the safe and effective use of medicine and correcting some misconceptions and common misconceptions related to the use of medicines in Saudi society, in addition to providing consultations, stressing the need to bring their own medicines to the campaign sites to be shipped and explain how to use them and the harm caused by some medicines.
