His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, affirmed that the university enjoyed a great deal of the projects inaugurated and inaugurated by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz during his recent visit to the Qassim region, which amounted to more than 3 billion riyals, indicating that this figure constitutes a high percentage of the overall number of projects in the region, where the university's preparation for this auspicious visit was not only in preparing these projects with opening and inauguration, but also in participating effectively and successfully in all programs that accompanied the gracious visit.
During the honoring ceremony held by the university yesterday evening, Tuesday 5/3/1440 A.H., for a group of its employees who exerted great efforts and participated in the activities of this royal visit and its success, Al-Dawood explained that the role of colleagues was an effective role that showed Qassim University in an honorable and decent image as the largest educational organization in the region, stressing that he is proud to work with sincere men who spent their time and efforts to serve the university, the region and the country, which reflected positively on the university everywhere in the region and beyond.
Al-Dawood pointed out that the university staff, both men and women, are highly competent and can provide addition in different fields with competence, which is a pride for the university, pointing to the support the university receives from the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince, and the encouragement, motivation and follow-up from His Highness the Emir of the region, who always asks, follows up, encourages and praises the level of the university in all locations in the region, and His Highness the Deputy Emir of the region who stands with the university in everything that is in its interest.
Al-Dawood congratulated all colleagues on what has been achieved in the projects of the university, where the Projects Commission had a great role in following up, assuming responsibility and taking fundamental decisions in the march of these projects, and had an important role in highlighting these efforts, finishing them and picking up the stalled ones, and the committee formed to follow up on these projects had a great role in pushing the march and achieving it on the ground and reaching what it reached, the most prominent of which we were honored to open by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the university hospital, which the community was waiting for, saying: "In our visit to it last week, I saw an architectural masterpiece and a health facility that is rarely matched in the Kingdom, and the devices, equipment, departments and technology will have an impact on the excellence of this hospital, which will soon start receiving patients, and we ask God to provide everyone with health and well-being."
Al-Dawood thanked all those who worked in the field or behind the scenes for what they provided in the past years and at the present time for the development of the university, stressing that he is proud to work with this group of competent colleagues, where the ambition is always high, especially on this occasion, although the time was short and the requirement was great, but God helped us to succeed, which had the greatest impact on the university and its employees, praying to God Almighty for success and to help everyone to serve the country and give him everything we can because he gave us a great thing.
For his part, Dr. Mohammed Al-Saawi, Vice President of the University, who attended the honoring ceremony with a number of university officials, pointed out that what was achieved was with the support and guidance of the UQU President, who constantly recommends taking care of employees on this particular visit, thanking him for his keenness on his colleagues at all times and on every occasion.
